We have some exciting stuff planned for the Christmas season at Connect, and we don’t want you to miss any of it!
Our Christmas series starts Sunday, Dec. 4, and runs right up to our Christmas services. Note: We will NOT be meeting on Sunday, Dec. 25th. Instead we’ll have our normal two services at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 24th with full nursery and kids programming during both services.
The church should be the most joyful, fun, and creative place on the planet. After all, who has more to celebrate than we do? Jesus, God’s own Son, came into our world to rescue us. If that’s not worh celebrating, nothing is! So we’re going to throw a month long Christmas party at Connect! In this series, we’re going to explore the Christmas story in the Bible and we’re going to see how people celebrated when they found out that Jesus had come. They partied then, and we’re going to party now! Let’s crank up the Christmas!
The Christmas season gets rolling in a big way in Connect Kids on Sunday, Dec. 4 with a “Cookie and PJ Day.” We are kicking off the Christmas season with a special morning on the first Sunday in December. We want all kids to wear their pajamas to church that morning. We will be decorating Christmas cookies that morning as part of our activities. Make sure to have your kids invite their friends. Or, just use our Facebook invite page to let your friends and family know about this special day.
On Saturday, Dec. 24, Connect Kids will be throwing a huge “Happy Birthday Jesus” party during both the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.
If your family would like to do something extra special this Christmas season, you’ll want to get involved with Project Joy. In fact, we are challenging every single family from Connect to do just that. If you want to take part, stop by the Connect Center starting Sunday, Nov. 20 and pick an ornament off the Christmas tree. Each ornament will be labeled with needs from local families. Please purchase the gift, wrap it and return it by Sunday, Dec. 11. Check out all the details for Project Joy and learn about our new partnership with Empower Youth.
If you aren’t familiar with Connect, we welcome your family to join us at Withamsville Tobasco Elementary School every Sunday at 9:30 and 11 a.m. (Our Christmas Services this year will be at the same times but moved to Saturday, Dec. 24.)
