Every year, we have a special project at Christmas where we can show generosity and love to folks who need it. This year, we’re doing something extra cool. We are partnering with The A21 Campaign, which is one of the leading organizations to combat human trafficking. This Christmas, we are going to provide some nice, warm Christmas pajamas for girls who have been rescued from the sex trade.
Starting on Sunday, Nov. 30, you can stop by the Connect table to grab a Project PJs envelope. Please add your gift and return it by Sunday, Dec. 14. We’ll be collecting monetary donations of $17.50 or $35 (checks payable to Connect Christian Church). We can’t accept donations of pajamas. A21 will purchase the pajamas from our donations. For every $35 we raise, we can purchase a set of PJs for one of these very special girls who are getting a second chance at life.
These girls have been rescued out of circumstances that would surpass even our worst nightmares. A new pair of undergarments and pajamas may not sound like much to us, but it’s something they’ve possibly never had before. And it’s one very small step toward a life where they actually feel safe and secure.
